Aesthetic and functional challenges in oral surgery

Aesthetic and functional outcomes after oral surgery are critical in the era of personalized dentistry. In this context, the following challenges and debates in implant surgery will be highlighted: GBR vs bone splitting, indications and types of sinus lift, and surgical complications of dental implants.
A patient-centered approach that synthesize patient’s individual needs and preferences with clinically relevant scientific evidence in the modern era of digital communication is the key to succesful outcomes. Surgical techniques and innovations covering the spectrum of oral and facial surgery will be presented.
